Victory Baptist Church raised money for two orphanages in Haiti during the Christmas season: Calvary Baptist Children's Home and Privelon's Chidren's Home. The money has been sent on to our missionary, Brother Wesley Lane, who helped them purchase gifts for every boy and girl in the two orphanages, together with new gas stoves. They previously were cooking over charcoal outdoors. There was also enough money given to purchase a bed for EVERY child. None of them have to share their beds any longer. There are still some funds remaining that are going to be spent for some other needs. Things move at a little slower pace in Haiti, but our missionaries are doing a good job getting the best they can for these boys and girls.
Calvary Baptist Children's Home and Privelon's Children's HomeThere are 35 children in the Calvary Baptist Children's. Pastor Edner has recovered from injuries he received when he was hit by a car. The Privelon Children's Home has about 25 boys and girls in it.
Brother Lane has just sent us some photos of the boys and girls receiving their gifts. They will be uploaded to our website by February 13. Thanks to all of you who gave and helped make these gifts possible.
